AN ALTERNATIVE EASTER LUNCH IN FRIENDSHIP AND SHARING

On Sunday 31st March, 12.00 -14.00

An Alternative Easter that offers friendship, sharing and a chance to show compassion in bringing some relief to people suffering in Gaza.

Easter Sunday lunch, at the time of our monthly Words & Actions Community Lunch, will combine bold and unusual art to stimulate our ideas about what makes us safe, with sharing food together in good faith and acting practically to bring some relief to suffering people.

Newly created pieces will bring together the work of participants in our recent experimental print workshops. As well as our Art and Music Auction at Words & Actions to raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians - the online event finishes at midday on the 31st March. There are some incredible works available, in a variety of media and sizes, thanks to the generosity of our creative community.

Below is the link for bidding - it has pictures and reserve prices for everything and, if you want to view the work itself rather than an image, please phone 07795594573 to arrange to see any of the lots that interest you this week.

The amount raised from the auction night and online will be announced at the Easter Sunday Lunch where you can join friends from Peace and Justice and Secure Scotland for soup and bread and a special chance to see a very different exhibition. Keith Paton, Arts Associate for Secure Scotland, has been running workshops focussing on our Keeping Safe project - teaching the gel image transfer print technique, and providing participants a chance to respond to our five questions in imagery instead of spoken or written words. All will be revealed on the day.

Below are a few of the many affordable Lots awaiting your bids.
